Traveling to Mexico with Two Australian Shepherds – Vet Visits
About a month ago, I wrote an article about heartworm prevention in dogs. This was not out of the blue – it was because we were planning for a trip to Mexico and the new dog regulations require a veterinary sign-off on the treatment/prevention of both ecto and endo parasites. We recently returned and I am working on writing up our adventures. In the meantime, below is a description of how we prepared for our trip.

When we rescued Trooper from the kennel I worked at, we decided to follow our vet’s recommendation for endo and ecto parasite prevention – Advantix for fleas and ticks and Heartgard for heartworms and other internal parasites.
Making it up Radio Tower Road

Why we have been Looking for a New Car: Our 2008 Honda Fit is pretty awesome. Not only does it have the nice looking sport package, but it gets awesome gas mileage. On our latest trip to Reserve, where most of the road is 65 miles per hour, we got 38 mpg.
A Relaxing Day at Continental Divide, Highway 90 South
Earlier this week, we spent a lovely few hours hanging around at a local Continental Divide Trail trail head. It is conveniently located off Highway 90, South and tends to get referred to by its location there.
